Taikutsu Theater Presents - The Fanfics of Haruhi Suzumiya
Also, Optic and I had planned to meet up for Animania, but due to a comedy of errors, we never actually found each other. And most horridly, only a single person commented on my sexy Gurren Lagann shirt!
Still, I did manage to get a Genshiken dvd boxset though, so not all was lost.
Anyways, that's it for mini Animania, see y'all at the big one in September.
And now, we return to your regularly scheduled program of...this.

My first ever gunpla
And as these pictures will no doubt prove, I had no fucking idea what I was doing. Nonetheless, it was pretty fun, and I'm planning on trying some more advanced techniques with my next gunpla (which is almost guarenteed to be another Zaku), such as using cement to get rid of the seam lines.

Japan Rundown #1
Anyways, the photos from Japan still aren't ready yet. Long story short, I forgot to bring my camera but had asked my friends who went with me to send me their photos. As they are lazy bastards, they have yet to send the photos to me yet.
So for the meantime, I figured I'd show you all some of the awesome shit I bought.
Yuki Nagato Nendoroid
L, angry at Yuki for her blatant chair theft.
Fort Bragg Busou Shinki
Fort Bragg searching for her sister, Guantanamo.
Hayate Yagami Figma
Hayate, preparing for her dual against Moses.
Mini Katana
Other Stuff
So yeah, that's all the anime related shit I bought. Pretty awesome huh? Oh, and here's a few pics I took of my Yuki figma. I didn't buy her in Japan, but I liked the shots and decided to share anyway. Aren't I nice?

Loot!
Sadly, I forgot to bring my camera on both days, and will thus have to deprive you of the plethora of masturbation inducing photos I surely would have taken.
Instead, let me present you with pictures of the cool shit I bought.
In terms of figures, these two now adorn my room;
Yuki Nagato (wizard ver.) Figma. That guiter sold it, seriously.
Ryu and Sakura poster to the left, and an awesome guitar swinging FLCL poster to the right.

Go my minions! Go forth and conquer!
So with this being finals week and all, I sadly do not have the time to dazzle you all with the poignent, fuck-laced poetry that is my written word. Therefore, I shall instead treat you with pictures of my Mighty Revoltech Army, not to mention small glimpses into the inescapably vast sea of pandemonium that I call a room.
So yeah, that's it for now. Expect full posts to return by next week; I've started watching Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, so hopefully I'll be able to write up a review or at least first impressions. Anyway, till then, I'll be here, using toys as a substitute for real human relationships.

Holy fucking shit! Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann!

Holy fucking shit! It's breaking out!!

TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN!!!!
So as you can see, revoltech Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann arrived in the mail today. To say I'm excited to finally own this guy would be an understatement as great as saying that the internet is kinda big.
For those of you who do not know what Revoltechs are, they are PVC based figures made by Kaiyado. Known for their iconic revoltech joints, they allow for very high levels of articulation, allowing for freedom in posing them, and stability in keeping said poses.
However, if you do not know what Gurren Lagann is, please either watch it now, or shoot yourself in your reproductive organs.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, sitting on Eva-01 while Rei admires his drill and Starscream sucks his giant robot balls.
In comparison to other Revoltech figures, he features a similar number of joints to most of the later figures, theoratically shares the same high levels of posebility.

In addition to being a galaxy shattering, God killing badass, he's also good with children.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann conclusively proves which is the best Gainax series.
In contrast to other Revoltech figures, TTGL is less poseble due to his complex design. However, Kaiyado makes up for this with quite possibly the best detailing out of any Revoltech figure I've seen. Put quite simply; TTGL looks cock suckingly good.
From the tiny eyes of each individual face that makes him up, to the immaculate paintjob despite the fine details of the figure, this is a model of the highest quality. This however, puts TTGL in a rather awkward situation; Revoltech figures are meant to be played with. Yet here we have a figure which suffers from difficult posebility, but with a very high level of detail.

After a long day of fucking up anyone stupid enough to have the audacity to even think of pissing him off, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann likes to enjoy a refreshing bite of ice cream. Galaxy sized ice cream.
However, there are few other models of TTGL, let alone any as affordable as this one (retailing at roughly $24). The only other TTGL figure I know of is a resin kit that is quite frankly, ballbustingly expensive.
For that reason alone, this should be the TTGL to get for all you Gurren Lagann fans out there.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, making Rei's panties wet.
For fans of poseble figures, you might want to think about it a little harder. Despite being a Revoltech figure, TTGL isn't the beacon of posebility, and it's top heaviness makes it difficult to balance.
Nontheless, it's a fun figure to have, and should you ultimately decide not to buy it, I advise you at least to beat up whatever kid you know who has one and steal his.
Note:
For any of you thinking I have some fucked up TTGL/Ayanami Rei fetish, I do not. It's just that Rei's the only female figure I have; the rest are robots, and I'm pretty sure you'd rather I didn't have a picture of TTGL drenching Optimus Prime's panties.
